Jennifer Triana, associate attorney at Silverberg|Brito, PLLC, was born in Bogota, Colombia. Jennifer’s passion for law is centered around her love of learning — she sees learning as one of life’s greatest joys and one of the pivotal components in life that fosters an abundance of growth.
Jennifer’s travels to 13+ countries – with different cultures and languages – have helped her cultivate interpersonal skills with people from around the world and strengthened her problem-solving skills. She has spent extensive time internationally including working as a research fellow at the United Nations International Law Commission in Geneva, Switzerland. There, Jennifer experienced the Commission’s meetings firsthand, where the members worked on, discussed, and presented research on a number of topics comprising the fundamentals at the core of international law. Through researching and writing on international law and policy, and experience working in a multicultural environment alongside attorneys and diplomats, she gained unparalleled knowledge, skills, and perspectives necessary for the effective practice of law.
Additionally, Jennifer interned at the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida preparing bench memorandums and conducting extensive legal research on a variety of topics at varying stages of legal proceedings. Jennifer also served as president for FIU College of Law Student Animal Legal Defense Fund for two consecutive years as well as a research assistant to Professor Jalloh at FIU Law. As a student leader, she organized and held meetings, assigned tasks, and assisted with the efforts she is passionate about such as passing Amendment 13, Florida’s ban on greyhound racing to protect the health and welfare of racing dogs.
Outside of work, Jennifer centers her life around her faith, her family and her pets. She also loves spending time reading, exercising, volunteering and anything related to astronomy, philosophy, and environmentalism.
