Carlos Serrano

Juris Doctor: Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Board College of Law, 2018

Carlos Serrano is an associate attorney at Silverberg Brito, PLLC. He was born in Havana, Cuba and at age 13 arrived to the United States. His passion for the legal field comes from being able to make a positive change in someone’s life and have an impact in the community.

While at Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad College of Law, he was the Associate Bilingual Editor of the ILSA Journal of International and Comparative Law.  He was actively involved in the journal’s Interpretation and Translation Assistance Program (ITAP), lending his time Pro Bono to assist unaccompanied minors seeking asylum in the United States. As a result of his dedication, Carlos was awarded the Pro Bono Honor Program’s Bronze award. Mr. Serrano was also a member of the Nova Trial Association, where he advanced his skills in civil litigation and trial advocacy.
